  • Internet payments must be made by midnight on the 29th day from the payment due date or issuance date of the citation.  Weekends are counted in the 29 days.
  • If the traffic citation relates to a Driver's License, vehicle registration (Tag), insurance or equipment, you must pay these fines in one of our two Clerk office locations or by mail.
  • If the traffic citation relates to Unknowingly Driving on a Suspended License, F.S. 322.34(1), a voluntary payment will count as an Adjudication which could result in the loss of your driving privilege.  A five year suspension of your driving privileges is the result of being adjudicated to three citations in a five year period or having a combination of (three) citations for DWLS/R and DUI.  If eligible, an election to attend a 4-hr traffic school will dispose the case as a Withhold of Adjudication thereby causing no future impact to your license for the citation.
  • You may be eligible to elect and attend a Driver Improvement School Course approved by the State of Florida, pursuant to Section 318.14 (9)(a), Florida Statutes, if you have not elected to attend such a course within the past twelve (12) months, or five (5) times in a lifetime and do not hold a class A, B, or C CDL License. To see if you are eligible, you may check online at the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles  website.
  • If you elect the Traffic School option and pay by mail, you must send the signed, notarized affidavit with your payment.  If you pay in person, the affidavit must be signed in the presence of the Clerk of Courts.  No affidavit is required to be submitted if paying on the internet.
  • If you elect the Traffic School option, the School Completion Certificates are due in 60-days.  The 60-day completion time begins when the payment transaction is completed.  Certificates submitted after 5 pm will be processed the following business day.  If the completion due date falls on the holiday or weekend, the certificate must be received prior to that date. Late certificates may be assessed additional fees and driver license suspension.
  • There may be a delay from the time you receive the citation and being able to pay the fine through these services.
