What is eRecording?

eRecording is a secure online submission of documents to the Lee County Clerk of Courts office for recording in the Official Records of Lee County. eRecording eliminates the need to mail or deliver documents to our office, and saves time and money for both the Clerk’s office and our customers.

eRecording is not just for title companies, banks or attorneys. If you are a contractor or the owner of a construction company you can file your documents electronically. Filing electronically is an efficient and time saving way to record your documents. To learn more about eRecording you will need to contact the vendors listed above to get started today. Below is a list of the agencies, links to their websites and Notice of Commencement forms.

City of Bonita Springs - The City of Bonita Springs Permitting Office can electronically record your Notice of Commencement. If you are working in the City of Bonita Springs you can go to their permitting office and file your Notice of Commencement electronically for a fee, and then get your permit.

City of Cape Coral - To electronically file a Notice of Commencement (NOC) in the City of Cape Coral – you will need to submit this completed affidavit with the electronically recorded NOC.  

City of Fort Myers – The City of Fort Myers Notice of Commencement form.

City of Sanibel – The City of Sanibel will accept your electronically recorded Notice of Commencement.

Lee County Permitting – The Lee County Permitting Office will accept your electronically recorded Notice of Commencement.

Town of Fort Myers Beach – The town of Fort Myers Beach can electronically record your Notice of Commencement.  If you are working in the town of Fort Myers Beach you can go to their permitting office and file your Notice of Commencement electronically for a fee, and then get your permit.
